This research survey is designed for Black women-identified, Black girls, Black gender-diverse and Black trans individuals who have experienced anti-Black racism and gender-based violence (aBGBV). It is part of a larger movement and five-year initiative (2021-2026) titled, Truth and Transformation: Advancing Gender Equity for Black Women, Girls, Gender-Diverse and Trans People in Canada. We want to understand your satisfaction with the services you accessed, if any, and any challenges or barriers encountered in accessing them

We understand that throughout this survey, some challenging feelings may arise. Please feel free to take your time, and/or take a break. If you are in a crisis or seeking supportive counselling, we have included some resources here for you:

This survey is being shared across Canada so that we can document the diverse experiences of Black survivors accessing support services throughout the country. Your answers are important to us. However, you may choose to stop participating in the survey at any time by clicking the ‘I no longer wish to participate’ button found at the end of each page. This will allow you to exit the survey before submission. If you choose to no longer participate, your data will not be included in the study.

After you have submitted your survey answers a new screen will open up with options for ways to receive your honorarium, as well as further opportunities to participate and support in the project.
